Media tools
The media category holds five tools for documents, pictures, colours and compression. All of them work in your browser on files you open or drop onto the page; nothing is uploaded. Tool pages live under /tools/media/.
PDF Tools
Section titled “PDF Tools”Path: /tools/media/pdf-tools
Views, edits and creates PDFs. You can open a PDF from your device or start a blank one. The open document is kept in the browser so that a reload brings it back, until you close it (closing deletes that copy).
- Page thumbnails, an outline and find-in-document, with page navigation and zoom (fit width, fit page, actual size or custom).
- Annotate: choose a colour, line width, font and text size, and highlight, draw and add notes; delete a selected mark or clear a page.
- Sign: draw or type a signature once and reuse it; add pictures to a page.
- Forms: fillable fields appear on the page. When saving, keep the fields fillable or flatten the answers into the page.
- Pages: rotate, duplicate, delete, reverse the order and extract pages to a file; insert blank pages (A4, US Letter, US Legal or A5, portrait or landscape) or insert another PDF.
- Keep or remove a page range (for example
1-3, 8, 12-15) and split into files of 1, 2, 5, 10 or 25 pages. - Add page numbers (six positions, three number formats) and a text watermark with a choice of strength and angle; both are applied when you download.
- Extract the text of every page, copy it or save it as
.txt; save pages as PNG, JPEG or WebP pictures at 1x to 4x sharpness; turn pasted text into new pages. - Edit the document title, author, subject and keywords written into the saved PDF.
- Add pages from another PDF or from pictures, and download the result with Download PDF.
Image Editor
Section titled “Image Editor”Path: /tools/media/image-editor
Opens, converts and edits images. You can open files, drop them on the page or paste with Ctrl+V. The format is read from the file’s contents, not its name.
- Reads PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP, ICO, SVG and TIFF (including a TIFF page selector).
- Shows EXIF, GPS and other metadata in the Details pane. The metadata is read from the opened file; a saved copy never carries it.
- Tools: Crop, Resize, Rotate and flip, Adjust, Pixelate and blur, Transparency, Opacity, Colour picker, and Batch.
- Batch saves every open image as its own file in the chosen format and quality, optionally resized first (keep size, fit inside, fill exactly, or stretch), from each image’s edits or from the pixels as opened.
- Save as PNG, JPEG or WebP with a quality setting, or copy the picture to the clipboard as PNG.
- Undo, redo and revert for each image, and a compare view (edited, original, or a split before/after).
- View options: zoom, pan, a chequerboard or plain backdrop behind transparency, and pixel rendering (sharp when zoomed in, always smooth, or always sharp squares).
- Several images can be open at once.
SVG Tools
Section titled “SVG Tools”Path: /tools/media/svg-tools
Formats, minifies and converts SVG markup. Open an .svg file, paste markup or load a sample, and see a live preview on a chequerboard, white or black background.
- Format the markup over several lines, or minify it.
- Minify options: remove or keep comments, editor metadata and unused ids, and round numbers (as written, whole numbers, or 1 to 6 decimal places).
- Generated outputs: minified SVG, URL-encoded data URI, Base64 data URI, CSS background, CSS mask, HTML
<img>, JSX component and sprite symbol. - Copy the output, download the drawing as
.svg, or download it as a PNG at a width you set.
Colors
Section titled “Colors”Path: /tools/media/colors
A colour picker and converter. Enter a colour value such as #245bd7, rgb(36 91 215), hsl(220 71% 49%) or oklch(50% 0.2 265), use the system colour picker, or adjust hue, saturation, lightness and alpha.
- Shows the colour in several formats; click or tap a value to copy it. The page notes that CMYK is the usual arithmetic conversion, not a press profile.
- Tints and shades: a 50 to 900 ramp built in OKLCH so steps stay evenly spaced by lightness.
- Harmonies: hue rotations of the current colour.
- Contrast: WCAG 2 contrast ratio of the colour as text on a background colour you choose, for large text and body text; a translucent colour is composited first.
- Random colour, pick any colour on the screen, and pick a colour from a dropped or chosen image (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG).
- Swap with the contrast background, copy as CSS variables, copy as JSON, and a list of recent colours.
Compressor
Section titled “Compressor”Path: /tools/media/compress
Compresses or restores files and text. Drop files or a folder onto the page, choose files, or paste text to compress. It has four modes, shown as tabs:
- Streams: compress or restore data as GZIP, Zlib, Raw DEFLATE, Brotli, Zstandard, XZ, LZMA, Bzip2 or LZ4, or compare formats on the same bytes.
- Archives: bundle files or a folder into
.zip,.taror a compressed tar (.tar.gz,.tar.zst,.tar.xzor.tar.bz2), or drop an existing archive in to list and extract it. - Images: compress images.
- PDF: compress PDF files.
Results can be downloaded individually or with Download all.
